REPOST: IOOF Grand Lodges That Don’t Have A Website.

(This article was first posted in June of 2017. If your state has since gotten a website for its Grand Lodge, PLEASE LET US KNOW. We plan on reposting this same article for a while to emphasize how important it is to have a web presence. C’mon GL’s, let’s get online! 😉  )

Occasionally, our blog will do a bit of investigative journalism.

On the international IOOF website there is a list of our United States jurisdictions. So, I decided to check each jurisdiction listed to see which Grand Lodges did not have a website or facebook page. I checked the IOOF international website and Google. I used this wording for my Google search: “Odd Fellows Grand Lodge of______ IOOF,” where the blank is the name of a state.

I only reviewed the first two pages for each Google search. Admittedly, my search may have missed some Grand Lodges. If so, please contact me so I can change your listing. Out of 51 jurisdictions (Grand Lodges) listed on the IOOF international website, 21 Grand Lodges do not have a website or facebook page that I can find.

If you DO have a website, be sure to list it on the IOOF international website!

  1. I am looking for any IOOF lodge in Puerto Rico to extend relief to our fraternity hit by the latest hurricane 2017. I am a PG of Alma Lodge #523 and PCP of William F Packer Encampment #127 of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania. Our lodge donated to the Texas Grand Lodge and the Grand Lodge of Florida , as we perform our duty to relieve the distressed. Any brother or sister with any information can contact Justin Bailey PGM; Grand Lodge Secretary of Pennsylvania

    1. Facebook and Social Media is also necessary but there should always be a website with more static information like Lodge locations, calendar of events, programs and forms. What do you mean by “what happened with SGLs Facebook page”? There is one and it is very active, I am one of several admins that update it daily.
